Chicago Fabric & Trim Show - new dates / posted 01/10/10 Announce dates for Spring & Fall 2010
AIBI (The Apparel Industry Board of Chicago) has announced dates for their spring 2010 show to be held on May 13th & 14th. The fall 2010 show will be held on October 21st & 22nd. This small regional show produced by AIBI features apparel & some homefurnishing fabrics + trims. Both the May & October shows are scheduled to be held in a conference room at the Chicago Merchandise Mart.

As NYC hosted International Trade Events featuring new fabric collections from European and Asian Mills - AboutSources once again offered a presentation of products from US & Canadian resources. North American knitters & weavers continue to offer quality, the latest in technology, and quick turnaround! Visitors were welcome from July 13th through August 4th in the lobby at the Katharine Gibbs school facing the south side of Bryant Park. There they found an assortment of yarns, fabrics, trims, & garments all made in North America - including dresses & sportswear made right in the NYC garment center. This summer's 3 week exhibit ended on August 5th when a portion of the exhibit was taken to FIT for viewing at the Red, White, Blue, & Green seminar! July 2008 - A display of made in the USA yarns, fabrics, trimmings, and designer garments - was open to the industry for a week. Made in the USA garments included designs from Rag & Bone and Nanette Lepore all made in the NYC. Also featured was a dress from Betsey Johnson - with fabric by La Lame, and a reversible top with long flowing pants from the collection of AngelRox - with fabric by Baras Jersey. Natural Fibers Mills showed some of their Organic Cottons knits made into an active wear collection. A beautifully tailored jacket made of a novelty wool/lurex woven, with lace trim and wool boucle skirt from Beyond The Loom was showed that if you're looking for novelty wovens - in a variety of blends, including lux fibers - You Can Find It Here!
Drop ins were encouraged in the lobby at 50 W 40th St. In this beautiful NYC garment center location - visitors could view a sampling of American production while getting a view of Bryant Park! Visit the Industry Resource Room to view fabrics produced by US & Canadian Mills, Converters, and Importers with global production.
